88 police officials of QC had been removed from their posts due to possible drug involvement. 35 of these are members of the District anti–illegal drug special operations task group while the other 53 are from the police station 6.
The 88 officials will still undergo proper investigation but for the meantime, they will temporarily be assigned to the District Headquarter Support Unit, according to acting QCPD Chief Guillermo Eleazar.
He said that once the officials had been proven guilty, they will receive proper punishment and liability for their action.
“Appropriate charges will be filed against them,” he said. “Pero for the meantime, temporary lang yan, we can reassign them. Maybe some of them will be recommended to be transferred out of the district.”
