Chito Miranda shared his joy over his wife Neri Naig’s pregnancy.
The Parokya ni Edgar frontman revealed the happy news on Father’s Day, June 19, by sharing a silhouette photo of his wife showing her baby bump on his Instagram account.
The excited soon-to-be father captioned his post: “Yey!!! Magce-celebrate na din ako ng Fathers Day!”
[Yay! I’ll be celebrating Father’s Day, too!]
He also credited his good friends actress Angel Locsin and actress-model Bubbles Paraiso as the ones who edited and approved the photo.
This is Neri’s second pregnancy.
The “Star Circle Quest” alumna got pregnant in 2015 but suffered a miscarriage. She did not provide other details on the matter.
Chito and Neri exchanged “I do’s”, not once but twice, in two ceremonies last December 2014.
They first had a civil ceremony on December 13 at the Vask Restaurant in Taguig City with just a few witnesses including their Ninong Boy Abunda and the second part took place at Angelsfield Sanctuary in Tagaytay City; the same place where Chito asked Neri to be his wife.
Comedian and book author Ramon Bautista officiated the couple’s garden wedding with the assistance of his radio sidekick Jojo, The Love Survivor.
Among the guests who attended the couple’s trip-themed celebration of love are actresses Angel Locsin and Bela Padilla, child star Xyriel Manabat, Paolo Paraiso, Chito’s bandmates in Parokya ni Edgar, members of Moonstar88, Kamikazee and Typecast and Aiza Seguerra and Liza Dino.
Master songwriter Ryan Cayabyab, Neri’s manager, Manny Valera, Boy Abunda, Gary Valenciano, director Rory Quintos, Ronald Singson, Bing Jose, Cynthia Macaranas, Renan Dalisay and Universal Records executive Kathleen Dy-Go served as the principal sponsors.
