- Congresswoman Leni Robredo tops the mobile survey administered by SWS and TV5
- This is the first time the ruling party bet topped an SWS-conducted survey
- Senator Grace Poe also topped the mobile survey ahead of frontrunner Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte
For the first time, ruling Liberal Party vice presidential candidate Leni Robredo trail blazed ahead of her contenders in a recent pre-election survey.
Robredo got a rating of 30%; topping the Social Weather Stations’ Bilang Pilipino survey exclusive to TV5 network.
According to a story earlier published by InterAksyon, Marcos got the second spot with 27% followed by Francis Escudero with 25%. Alan Peter Cayetano is a far fourth placer with 13% while Sonny Trillanes and Gringo Honasan are still lagging with 3% and 1% respectively.
In a separate story by CNN Philippines, Robredo confidently said that she is ready to become the next vice president of the Philippines; clarifying that it is for the people and not for her.
Meanwhile, it is Senator Grace Poe who topped with 34%. This is a relief for Poe after Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte snatched the first place in other major pre-election surveys.
But the Davao City Mayor maintains a close fight with Poe with his 33% rating. Manuel Roxas II, on the other hand, is at the far third with 16% while Vice President Jejomar Binay comes close at 15%. Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago remains the least chosen candidate with only 1% rating.
The survey also asked respondents whether or not there is a possibility they will be changing their minds on who to vote for in the coming elections.
For both the presidential and vice presidential picks, 61% said they will “definitely not change their minds.” On the other hand, 22% replied with “probably” and 11% said they can still change their minds.
