- He was reportedly diagnosed with the condition six months prior to his sudden death last April 21
- Sources said the singer have lost weight and his blood count was unusually low but refused to undergo treatment believing that he will be cured by God
News have surfaced that pop icon Prince allegedly died of AIDS and had been preparing for his death “for a while.”
An article written by James Rothwell and published by the Telegraph stated that the singer was diagnosed with the condition six months before his sudden death on April 21.
The article noted that Prince have lost weight but reportedly refused to undergo medical treatment believing that he will be cured by God.
People close to the singer disclosed that doctors told him that his blood count was unusually low and that his body temperature had dropped dangerously below the normal 98.6 degrees to 94 degrees; further noting that Prince was totally iron-deficient, very weak and often disoriented.
In addition to this, reports stated his heart stopped while experiencing influenza; an illness which could prove fatal to a person afflicted with AIDS as it can weaken immune defenses.
Circumstances surrounding Prince’s death pointed out that he was in possession of prescription painkillers when he passed away, anonymous police sources said.
Furthermore, it has also been claimed that Prince suffered from an addiction to Percoet, which he was using to dull his pain.
The alleged report, however, was denied by L. Londell McMillan, who knew Prince for 25 years and at one point worked as his manager, and further insisted the singer did not have addiction issues at all.
Meanwhile, as disclosed in a Yahoo News article by Michael Allen, the police are looking into the possibility that “associates may have given the star a fatal cocktail of drugs”; adding that it may take weeks until the results of the autopsy is made known.
HIV is a virus which attacks the immune system and weakens the body’s ability to fight diseases. It is commonly acquired through unprotected sex. It can also be transmitted by sharing needles.
