- Actress Ana Capri claimed she was sexually harassed inside a club in The Fort
- The suspect was a male Chinese national who is a VIP guest at the club
- Capri accused the man of touching her behind
- She also accused the club of escorting the suspect out, instead of reporting the incident to the police
MANILA, Philippines – Sexy actress Ana Capri has filed a complaint against an unidentified male Chinese national whom she accused of sexually assaulting her inside a club in The Fort on Tuesday, April 5.
On her Instagram account, Capri narrated her ordeal. She wrote: “As much as I would like to put it behind me. I’m terribly still bothered with what happened to me this past weekend. I went to Pool Palace Club to have some fun but got traumatized instead.”
“I got sexually harassed and got physically assaulted for defending myself. I asked help from their security and received a run around instead. I feel bothered, violated, insulted, and betrayed. I just cannot be quiet about this,” the actress added.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Capri said she was charging her mobile phone inside the Pool Palace Club when a VIP guest suddenly grabbed her behind.
Shocked at the man’s indecency, the former Amaya actress confronted the guest, who is apparently intoxicated, and hit him in the face.
The actress got even more shocked when the man allegedly slapped her back and hurled invectives at her. Capri said she immediately called the security who intervened and led the man away. She was also told to wait inside a room while the suspect was supposedly being admonished.
She also demanded to get the man’s name but was told not to worry. However, when she went outside to check, she saw the man being escorted away by the club security.
Capri, whose real name is Ynfane Avanica Acharon, filed an act of lasciviousness complaint against the VIP guest at the Police Community Precinct 7 in Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City.
She also sought the help of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to identify the Chinese national since the club refused to provide her a copy of the security camera.
Meanwhile, the Pool Palace denied in a statement they escorted the unidentified male guest out, but only tried to separate the two to avoid further serious confrontation.
“As protocol in similar situations, security separate both parties to prevent further escalation of the incident and the aggressive party, in this case the male guest, was sent out and was permanently banned from the Palace as per standard operating procedure,” the statement read.
The club also assured its management is willing to cooperate with the actress and the authorities during investigation.
