Amid the rumors he has been suspended for six months from “Eat Bulaga” over a Facebook rant, Paolo Ballesteros continues with his other showbiz engagements.
On Monday, March 21, the TV host-actor shared on Instagram his photo together with “Eat Bulaga” co-host Wally Bayola in the airport lounge while waiting for their flight to the United States.
He wrote: “See you later mga dabarkads sa Amerika! Wooooh! #Mishootoo.”
Paolo, Wally and Jose Manalo make-up Eat Bulaga’s “JoWaPao”.
The three of them are popularly known for portraying “De Explorer Sisters”; Lola Nidora (Wally), Lola Tinidora (Jose) and Lola Tidora (Paolo) in Eat Bulaga’s “Kalyeserye”.
According to an article published by Philippine Entertainment Portal, the trio will have a series of concerts entitled, The Lolas of Kalyeserye Visit California, from March 22-24.
“Comedy Concert Queen” Ai-Ai delas Alas who plays Lola Babah in “Kalye Serye“ and the loveteam of Andre Paras and Barbie Forteza will join them in their shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego.
Paolo was allegedly suspended from “Eat Bulaga” as a part of the top-rating noontime show’s disciplinary action after he ranted on social media about the alleged incompetence of the production staff during an event.
Reports said he was scheduled to host the Ad Summit Pilipinas 2016, held in Subic Bay Freeport Zone last March 9-12, but he has not been seen at the dinner event where his “Eat Bulaga” co-hosts Vic Sotto, Wally Bayola, Jose Manalo, Anjo Yllana, Allan K., Pia Guanio, Ruby Rodriguez, Pauleen Luna and Ryzza Mae Dizon all attended.
TAPE Inc. senior vice president Malou Choa-Fagar refused to confirm if Ballesteros was indeed suspended from the show.
She said: “It is an internal matter and like all other internal matters, it is our company’s policy not to discuss it in public.”
