As the New Year approaches, people often make resolutions or fret about not having a good New Year. For celebrity couple Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco, 2017 was one of their best years to date. The Pinoy Big Brother alumni, collectively known as “Melason,” have been showered with countless blessings in their respective careers and have gone through many significant milestones in their personal lives. As a matter of fact, the pair was finally able to finish the construction of their new house in Calapan, Mindoro – Jason’s hometown.
We all know that it is the memories and the people who really make a house a real home. Starting new can be bittersweet and easily turn into an unexpected emotional roller coaster. People have left old apartments before and of course, it was sad and they started missing some things.
On March 20, 2017, Melai and Jason held the blessing of their new two-story home, attended by their relatives and close friends. During the housewarming, the couple and their daughter wore red outfits to attract good fortune, a belief founded on a Chinese superstition.
Moving to a new home can be a fun and exciting adventure, but it"s still a tough adjustment for kids. Parents should watch for signs that their children are experiencing difficulty and be prepared to take action to ease anxiety. Sometimes all it takes is one good day or meeting one new friend to completely turn a situation around.
Based on the photos uploaded on social media, Melason’s humble abode featured a balcony with a spectacular view of trees and the sky. It also has a grassy lawn at the front, perfect for children running around. Changes are a big part of our life. Moving into a new home is a big step into a bright future. Changing a house is a great start to a fresh life which can be filled with new memories and stories.
The Francisco family celebrated the recent holidays in their new home, proudly sprucing up the place in time for Christmas. On Instagram, the couple shared a photo of their well-lit and fully decorated house with the caption: “Merry Christmas padin galing sa aming decorations na kami kami lang gumawa.”
Perhaps to diversify their earnings from showbiz, the celebrity couple tried their hand at another business – ‘bigasan’ or rice retailing. On Facebook, Jason shared a shirtless photo of himself posing amidst sacks of rice as he invited fans to buy a ‘cavan’ of rice for PHP 1,400. He wrote, “Bili na kayo ng bigas mga mahal ko, bagong ani are! Wampor lang isang kabs.”
Showbiz-wise, the couple were also fortunate to constantly have projects and engagements from their respective networks. Jason recently transferred to GMA-7 after his contract with ABS-CBN expired in 2017, and was privileged to snag guests on several Kapuso shows, according to a PEP report. On the other hand, Melai continues to be part of the Kapamilya morning talk show “Magandang Buhay.”
To Melai and Jason, may your new home keep you cozy in winter, cool in summer and sheltered during the rains. May your new home also gives you a prosperous life full of happiness and free of pains. Congratulations.
