Celebrity and comedienne Ethel Booba has been known for posting the most relevant yet humorous statements on Twitter. She has a knack for making light of sensitive (and even dangerous) issues by making her tweets sound like she’s joking, always topped with a bit of sass and sarcasm. Ethel has been a favorite among millennials when it comes to clapbacks and sharp statements, and this time was no exception.
The latest to trigger the Twitter clapback queen for her most burning comeback yet is Sass Sassot — an avid Duterte supporter who happens to be just as vocal as ‘ka-DDS‘ PCOO Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson.

In Sass Sassot’s tweet, she tried to give advice to those going to their family reunions this Christmas season. According to the blogger, if your tactless aunt asks you why you’re still unmarried, you should answer like the former president Noynoy Aquino and blame everything on Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. Ethel, however, had a far more clever response to this tweet:

Ethel’s tweet was obviously meant as a parody to President Rodrigo Duterte’s promise to the Filipino people during his campaign for the presidency in 2016. President Duterte stated that he would eliminate the illegal drug trade within three to six months.
“If elected president, give me three to six months, I will get rid of corruption, drugs, and criminality,” the President was quoted to have said on February 2016 to the students of the Mariano Marcos State University in Batac.

However, a few months after being elected into office, President Duterte asked for another extension to fulfill his promise, saying in a press conference, “Just give me [a] little extension of maybe another six months. I did not have any idea that there were hundreds of thousands already in the drug business.”

Ethel also made reference to a popular Duterte line in response to a netizen:

Sass Sassot has yet to respond to Ethel Booba’s post. As of writing, the comedienne’s tweet has garnered more than 6,500 retweets, 22,100 likes, and 644 replies on Twitter.
