There are numerous dancing videos uploaded online and to achieve virality is no easy feat. In the social media world where there exists thousands of videos, viral dancing kid Rolando ‘Goygoy’ Latoza was able to capture the netizens’ attention with his version of “Taga saan? Budots challenge” and other interpretative dance videos.
The video clips of this kid with a cleft lip and palate were uploaded by Facebook user JJ Lamita. ABS-CBN’s magazine show, “Rated K,” immediately reached out to meet Goygoy. In an episode uploaded to Youtube on December 3, 2017, the viral dancing kid was brought to ABS-CBN’s “It’s Showtime” and was granted a chance to meet and dance with his idols, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, and DJ Chacha. Little did the viral kid know that there was a surprise in store for him.
Recently, “It’s Showtime” host Vhong Navarro made the kid’s Christmas season extra special with a surprise. When he saw the kid, the host immediately exclaimed, “Oy, Goygoy! Kamusta ka na? Pogi natin ah!”
The host continued, “Para mawala yung kaba mo sa operasyon mo, may regalo sa’yo si Kuya Vhong, ha?”
Vhong Navarro gave a tablet to Goygoy. The kid, who was evidently quite surprised, cried and embraced the kind-hearted host.
The 13-year-old kid expressed his joy, saying, “Salamat sa inyo, nakatulong sa akin… sa regalo ko!”
“Walang anuman,” Vhong Navarro said as he smiled. Afterwards, the two once again shared a heart-warming hug.
However, the surprises did not end there for the viral dancing kid. He was visited by Josh Mangila, a travel editor for a popular Dubai-based magazine. The editor gave the boy shoes as a present, referring to him as a “fountain inspiration for all of us.”
Behind the façade of this seemingly jolly kid is a heart-wrenching story. He was abandoned by his mother four years ago. His father, Rizardo Latoza, was left alone to take care of him.
“Rated K” granted the young boy’s need to undergo an operation for his cleft lip and palate. Truly, the viral dancing kid is being bombarded with blessings.
