Alex Castro and Sunshine Garcia are finally engaged

After two years of dating, Alex Castro and Sunshine Garcia are now finally engaged! The beau popped the big question to his sweetheart, who couldn’t help but cry tears of joy, on December 16. Both made the announcement on social media, much to the delight of the fans.

In a post put up by Alex yesterday, an emotional but happy Sunshine showed off their engagement ring as they posed for the camera. In the caption was the actor coming up with their official hashtag, #SlexRoadToForever.

Another post by the “Wildflower” cast was a group photo consisting of their family and friends present at the lovely event. All present appear to be super happy for the two as they took their relationship to a whole new level.

The tear-jerking moment was uploaded on ABS-CBN. In the video, Alex was seen giving a speech in front of the group with his girlfriend when he began to profess his love for her. Just when Sunshine thought it was nothing but mere talk, the actor took out an engagement ring. In the exact moment, the “Banana Sundae” lead, who was taken aback by the sudden show of the band, was moved to tears.

Only this morning when Sunshine posted about the beautiful bit on Instagram. Along with their photo taken on the said evening was the actress still in a state of disbelief. She wrote:

“Yung inakala ko na lagi na lang ako magiging audience kada may mag propropose at ikakasal. Yung malapit ko ng tanggapin sa sarili ko na baka hindi para sa akin ang ganitong klaseng love story..
