Competition and rivalries among showbiz stars are often unavoidable in the entertainment industry. Whether the artists are from rival networks or even if they work under the same company, competition is normal.
Ever since Liza Soberano and Julia Barretto rose to stardom, rumors of their alleged rivalry began circulating. Some claim that the continuous comparison between the two young actresses has affected their friendship.
Both Kapamilya actresses have denied the rumors through an Instagram post back in 2015.
"Rivalry? What rivalry?!" wrote Julia.
However, these rumors are circulating once again.
On February 14, 2017, Youtube channel 'Ohania Updates' posted a video that shows Julia allegedly snubbing Liza.
The video was taken during a performance of the 'My Ex and Whys' star with her onscreen partner Enrique Gil. Julia, standing in the background, was seemingly unimpressed by Liza’s performance.
The video has garnered over 700,000 views on Youtube and was showered with different feedback from fans of the two stars.
Many reacted violently against Ohania, saying the channel was spreading false and baseless rumors. Fans pointed out that Julia was merely displaying her usual fierce look and resting bitch face.
"Wala nmang tarayan ahh .. mali nman balita nyo ..inayos ni Julia ang Buhok ata ni Liza ..grabi nman kaayo gumawa ng kwento ..Liza at julia is best of friends huwag siraan d maganda," Jean Mancha commented.
"Hindi naman tinarayan eh. Pinagpagan pa nga ni Juls ang likod ni Liza. Hays, showbiz nga naman," seconded Charline Arcega.
