The Duterte administration is under fire again after Mocha Uson was appointed as an MTRCB board member.
Social Trends PH reported that Magic radio DJ Mo Twister called out the administration, saying that it was “trapo” because they have been appointing people who have no known track records on the positions they are occupying.
Mocha Uson is a known leader of the girl group Mocha Girls. She currently manages a Facebook page where she expresses her opinions and support for Duterte.
She cited that she is “not a journalist" but instead, an ordinary citizen. She also holds a column in the Philippine Star.
Phil News PH claimed that several artists and other people from the showbiz industry have been given seats in the Duterte administration ever since he won the presidential elections.
These included Freddie Aguilar as head of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and Jimmy Bondoc as Assistant Vice President for Entertainment at PAGCOR, according to Manila Times.
The Standard claimed that Aiza Seguerra was also appointed as chairman and chief executive officer of the National Youth Commission, while her partner Liza Diño was made chairperson for the Film Development Council of the Philippines.
Mo said that everything “Looks like the same old sh—t” since the president had officially assumed his office and that Mocha Uson had already known she was going to be part of the government even before her appointment.
The DJ’s Instagram post read “Hey Dutertards! What the f—ck! I thought [sic] you said when your horse wins that Change is Coming? Looks like the same old sh—t to me.”
Other celebrities have also stated their distaste over the new appointment, including TV host John Lapus and comedienne Ai-Ai De Las Alas.
