A mom who was severely injured from a car accident in Christchurch, New Zealand refused to take painkillers because she needed to breastfeed her baby daughter.
Danni Bett, a mother Baby Indi accidentally lost control and crashed her car into a metal fence, leaving her whole body in severe pain. Baby Indi was also inside the car but fortunately, she was safe and unharmed. Paramedics immediately put Danni in a neck brace and sent them to the nearest hospital. Because of the severe pain caused by her injuries, Danni has to take in painkillers to relieve the excruciating pain. However, she refused consuming it when she heard Baby Indi crying for her.
Nurses at the hospital recommended bottle-feeding Baby Indi instead. However, Danni insisted on breastfeeding her daughter. She decided not to take pain medications so it could be safe for Baby Indi to get her breastmilk. Danni knew that she is the only one who could calm her daughter so she did not pay attention to the excruciating pain just to attend to her daughter’s needs.
Danni proved that a mother would really set aside whatever pain she is feeling just to give the needs of their children.
Meanwhile, both Danni and Indi are doing well after their recovery, Elite Readers reported.
