“People’s Champ” and “Pac-man” are just two of the many names associated with Senator Manny Pacquiao. On Sunday, another one was brought to his plate.
Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said in Malacanang that he admires Pacquiao for bringing unity and joy to our country whenever he goes on a match.
“The discipline, the determination, and the hard work of our People’s Champ are truly what make him a National Treasure in Global Sports,” he said.
Pacquiao overcame younger Jessie Vargas via unanimous decision bagged the WBO welterweight championship on Saturday (Sunday in Manila) at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas with 114-113, 118-109, 118-109, all in his favor.
