While most privileged students take school for granted, there are these children who would do anything just to learn. For some, aside from the tuition fees and all the finances necessary to finish their study, going to school is just the beginning of their many struggles.
For one, these students of Casili Elementary School in Rodriguez Rizal need to cross a river just to make it to school. They would sometimes get a lifebuoy or make a raft just not to get wet. But most of the time, they had to really swim the river just to get across. Their story got featured in the Kapuso network and after 4 years, a pedestrian bridge had been built! With the help of GMA and Foundation of Outstanding Mapuans Incorporated, these kids can now go to school with much less hassle.
