Last Monday Morning, September 5, a bomb threat shock four schools within the vicinity of Malacañang in San Miguel, Manila just before classes starts.
After a deep search on Centro Escolar University (CEU), San Beda College, Eugelio "Amang" Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST) and the College of the Holy Spirit-Manila (CHSM), authorities hereafter confirmed that there were no bombs in the said campuses.
Sunday Night, EARIST was the first one to receive that threat that urged the Manila Police District (MPD) Explosive and Ordinance Division to look all over the campus.
However, CEU, CHSM and San Beda College - which is all in the vicinity of Mendiola, got a hox of the bomb threat last Monday morning.
4:34 a.m, CEU received a message via Facebook from an alleged member of the Abu Syaff Group (ASG) where he said that they have implanted a bomb on the four campuses near Malacañang.
In the meantime, CHSM, at 7 a.m. got a text message and a call that an exploision will happen at the school.
Classes were suspended in all levels because of the threat.
MPD Station 8 commander Superintendent Olive Sagaysay claimed that all of the campuses are safe by 9 a.m. after bomb squads cleared the area.
Security will be expanded due to the threats in the U-belt Area.
the said bomb hoax came from the Friday explosion in Davao Night Market where 14 people were killed and 67 others were injured.
