MANILA, Philippines – Bureau of Customs (BOC) chief Nicanor Faeldon has reportedly appointed blogger, dancer and staunch Duterte supporter Mocha Uson as one of the agency’s consultants.
This was disclosed by ABS-CBN News’ Joel Guinto in his report on Thursday, August 4.
“Singer and dancer Mocha Uson, one of President Rodrigo Duterte’s fiercest supporters, has been tapped as “social media consultant” at the Bureau of Customs,” the article said.
Uson is also a singer and model and is the lead vocalist of the all-girl sexy group Mocha Girls.
She campaigned hard for President Rodrigo Duterte in the last national election and was figured in a number of verbal clashes with Dutere critics on social media via her “Mocha Uson Blog”.
She is known to defend the former Davao City Mayor from the latter’s critics, and at the same time, wrote hard-hitting attacks against his rivals; most especially against administration bets Mar Roxas and Leni Robredo and their supporters like Jim Paredes.
Before Duterte was sworn into office, Uson was granted the special opportunity to interview the incoming president face-to-face.
On Thursday, Faeldon reportedly confirmed Uson’s appointment to the BOC, saying: “She will be the social media consultant,”. However, Uson’s role and responsibility at the agency is still unknown.
In the meantime, Uson has yet to post anything related to her appointment on her Facebook blog.
