Inah De Belen, eldest daughter of John Estrada and Janice De Belen is ready to take on the showbiz spotlight.
The 22-year-old actress signed an exclusive contract with GMA Artist Center on Thursday, August 11, as per an article published by PEP.
Inah will be co-managed by Popoy Caritativo who also manages her mother Janice De Belen and Kapuso stars such as Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez.
Inah shared her excitement to be back with the network after so many years. Inah was previously in a youth-oriented show “Candies”, with Andi Manzano, Alynna Asistio, Rhian Ramos, and Wynwyn Marquez.
One of her first projects with the network will be a drama series, working alongside with actors Jake Vargas, Jeric Gonzales, Epi Quizon, Ryan Eigenmann, and Gladys Reyes.
Inah was asked about her screen name and why she’s using De Belen instead of, her real last name, Estrada.
“Marami na kasing Estrada sa industry, so may mga nagtatanong, ‘Ah, relative ka ni Joseph Estrada?’ Ang daming naco-confuse,” she explained. “On the other hand, dalawa lang ‘yung De Belen sa industry, so when they recognize me as Inah De Belen, alam agad nila na anak ako ni Janice (at John),”
[There are so many Estrada in the industry, and some people have been asking ‘are you related to Joseph Estrada?’ People are getting confused. On the other had, there are only two De Belen in the industry, so when they recognize me as Inah De Belen, they know right away I’m Janice’s and John’s daughter.]
She added: “My dad understands. May blessing niya, at aware siya na ‘yun ang magiging screen name ko. [I have his blessing and he’s aware of what my screen name will be.] But my real name will always be Inah Estrada, nothing will change that.”
