Actor Rommel Padilla, who is brother to action star Robin Padilla and father of heartthrob Daniel Padilla, says he is thankful for a second chance in showbiz with his return to acting on television.
He will be part of the upcoming television drama series The Greatest Love which will star Sylvia Sanchez, Andi Eigenmann, Dimples Romana, Arron Villaflor, and Matt Evans.
Padilla will play the role of Andres; one of Sanchez’s love interests.
Reflecting on his return to acting, he says he considers himself lucky to have been given another shot to his showbiz career; admitting that he had a reputation in the past for being rather unprofessional.
“Napakalaking bagay talaga na nakikita ka sa industriya na professional ka. Dati kasi nagkaroon ako ng titulo na medyo pagdating sa trabaho ay nagkakaroon ng problema. Siguro in time, naipakita ko na kaya kong maging professional at nai-share ko naman kung ano ‘yung kakayanan ko sa pag-arte. Nabigyan naman po ako ng pagkakataon ulit. Iyong second chances sa ating buhay ay hindi talaga natin alam kung kailan darating. [It is a big deal to be seen in the industry as a professional. In the past, I had the title of being a bit problematic when it comes to work. I guess in time, I showed that I can be professional and I shared my abilities when it comes to acting. I was just given another opportunity. These second chances in our life we don’t really know when they will come],” he explained to ABS-CBN News.
In addition to The Greatest Love, Padilla is also a cast member of another popular drama series Dolce Amore which stars Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil.
The Greatest Love will premiere on July 18 in ABS-CBN.
