When the family photo was posted by Davao City Vice Mayor, Paolo “Pulong” Duterte online, the public began to question why Duterte’s current partner, Cielito “Honeylet” Avancena, and their daughter, Veronica “Kitty” Duterte is not included. The image only shows President Rodrigo Duterte seated beside his ex-wife, Elizabeth Zimmerman with daughter Inday Sara Duterte and her son, Stingray. Members of Duterte’s immediate family, their spouses and children are also included in the picture.
On Thursday, to stop everyone from further making speculations, Paolo wrote on Facebook, “To everybody questioning the whereabouts of Ms. Avanceña and Kitty Duterte they hve their own family picture (NAA AMONG INAHAN KAY AMOA SIYANG INAHAN UG WA NAMOY LABOT ANA).”
The family photo has more than 100,000 likes and over 20,900 shares on Facebook as of writing.
Duterte and Zimmerman’s 25-year civil marriage was annulled in 2000, but the two remained good friends. While Duterte’s common-law wife Avanceña is a former beauty queen and nurse from abroad, and they also have a 12-year-old daughter “Kitty.”
