A historical event happened at the Malacañang Palace. It is the first time that the current President Rodrigo Duterte and four former presidents of the Philippines namely Joseph Estrada, Gloria Macapagal–Arroyo, Fidel V. Ramos and Benigno Aquino III gathered for a meeting.
They may have different views in politics, but they are united to talk about the issue of the South China Sea.
On the National Security Council meeting that President Duterte held, they talked about how they will deal with China with regards to the dispute of the South China Sea after the Arbitration Court favored the Philippines.
The same issue was discussed when the US Secretary of State John Kerry made a courtesy call to the President of the Philippines.
Rest assured that the current administration will not take forgranted the decision of the Permanent Court of Arbitration released regarding South China Sea.
