MANILA, Philippines – With his mixed martial arts match against indie actor Kiko Matos less than two weeks away, actor Baron Geisler explained his outburst in yet another bar— this time outside Guilly’s in Tomas Morato, Quezon City.
In the video which has since gone viral, Geisler can be seen shouting and spewing profanities at an unknown opponent outside the bar. According to some who claimed to have witnessed the incident, Geisler was punched because of his unruly behavior inside the bar.
However, Geisler denied he was making trouble and said he was merely escorting a woman down the stairs when he was suddenly punched from behind as he was making his way outside.
“I just went out and I just told this girl, ‘You know you’re so beautiful, I’ll help you go down the stairs, you’re so beautiful, ganito, ganyan, [this and that],” Rappler quoted him as saying.
Tapos biglang naglalakad na ako pabalik ng hotel, biglang sinuntok na lang ako patalikod [Then I was just walking back to my hotel when I was suddenly punched from behind],” Geisler added.
According to the actor, anyone would be angry with being struck with a cheap shot. He also emphasized that he has loved ones just like everybody else and is not the bad boy his critics make him to be.
“I’m not your typical actor, not your typical celebrity. I’m just human, I have feelings. And punong-puno ako ng pag-ibig. Marami akong minamahal sa buhay [I’m full of love. I have many loved ones],” he said.
