- ‘Chewbacca Mom’ Candace Payne gets an action figure of herself
- The toy came from popular toy company Hasbro
- The action figure depicts Candace with Chewbacca’s body
“Chewbacca Mom” got another “Star Wars” kind of surprise just when she thought rising to fame and visiting Facebook headquarters were already great.
Internet star Candace Payne, who became popular for shooting a Facebook live of her wearing a newly bought Chewbacca mask, has just been given her own action figure.
Toy company Hasbro granted Candace with an action figure that depicts her head with the body of Hans Solo’s best buddy, Chewbacca. The toy’s head is removable and replaceable with a Chewbacca mask.
Aside from that, Entertainment Weekly said the toy also comes with 13 recorded catchphrases such as “That’s not me making that noise, it’s the mask” and “I am such a happy Chewbacca.”
The action figure was awarded to her by Hasbro’s Chief Executive Officer Brian Goldner.
“Brian Goldner unveiled Candace Payne’s very own custom #ChewbaccaMom action figure @ Hasbro HQ! #HasbroStarWars,” Hasbro tweeted last June 18.
Candace also expressed her gratitude to the toy company via an Instagram photo of her with a red carpet behind her. The photo was captioned: “Thanks SO much, HASBRO. You literally rolled out the red carpet for me and my family. Thanks for making play so much fun!”
In another Facebook Live video of her visit to Hasbro, she described the moment as a “second divine moment that’s happening.”
So much “Star Wars” grants have come Candace’s way since she did her viral Facebook live, which is regarded as the most viewed Facebook Live video to date.
Aside from visiting Facebook headquarters, Candace also received a message from Peter Mayhew himself – the voice of the popular character of the original Star Wars trilogy. She also got a sketch of Chewbacca from a toy designer company, according to a Rappler story.
