MANILA, Philippines – Vina Morales remains unfazed despite her former boyfriend and father of her child, Cedric Lee’s plan to file six libel cases against her after she accused him of allegedly bullying her and detaining their daughter Ceana forcibly for ten days last month.
According to the singer-actress, she wouldn’t fight if she has nothing to fight for.
Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) quoted her as saying during the advanced screening of ABS-CBN’s newest TV series entitled “Born For You” on Saturday, June 11: “It’s not about me and Cedric, it’s for my child’s welfare.”
She said the businessman detained Ceana for ten days without communication, preventing her from talking to the child.
She emphasized that in her almost three decades in the entertainment industry, she didn’t do anything wrong to anyone and she has no use for intrigues, especially when it comes to her daughter, just to be talked about.
“Hindi ko ugaling magsinungaling. Lahat ng sinasabi ko, katotohanan. Ang ipinaglalaban ko dito ay si Ceana,” she added.
[I don’t like to lie. Everything I’m saying is the truth. I am fighting for Ceana.]
Lee previously released an official statement against Morales’ allegations.
He said that the bullying allegations can easily be debunked by court documents with evidence of screen shots of Morales’ text messages to his lawyer.
“My lawyer has been liaising with Vina for three years now,” he added.
Regarding the singer-actress’ allegations that Ceana had been traumatized during the time they’ve spent together last month, Lee has pictures to prove that the child actually enjoyed their father-daughter bonding.
He believes that Ceana was traumatized because Morales threatened to punish her if she didn’t go home.
“I banned Vina’s calls to shield Ceana from Vina’s tantrums as I did not want it to affect our time together,” he said.
