MANILA, Philippines – The mother of a 15-year-old student has accused her PE teacher of raping and maintaining illicit relations with her daughter.
Arrested was 28-year-old Kirk Patrick Ferrer after an entrapment video from the Parañaque City Mayor’s action team recorded him being intimate with the victim at a convenience store. According to authorities, he teaches at an exclusive private school and was the victim’s PE teacher in 2014.
The victim’s mother, Marife, said she began to suspect something between Ferrer and her daughter “Michelle” after she read the former’s text messages on her cell phone. Eventually, her daughter confessed that they were in a relationship.
According to “Michelle”, Ferrer first forced himself on her when they were alone at his home. She said she went with him to get some volleyballs for a summer clinic he initiated at school. Ferrer repeated the incident two more times.
For his part, Ferrer denied raping the girl and contended they were in a relationship. He explained they got close to one another during the volleyball clinic and subsequently entered into a relationship.
However, Marife accused the suspect of using his position as a teacher and the volleyball clinic to take advantage of her daughter. She added she’s angry because she trusted him and even ate lunch with him whenever she accompanied her daughter to their volleyball games.
C/Insp. Rolando Santiago of Parañaque PCP-3 told ABS-CBN they are readying charges against Ferrer for rape and violating RA 7610 or the Anti-Child Abuse Law.
