- Sen. Bongbong Marcos, if he gets elected vice president, is willing to work with whoever wins the presidency
- The government, said BBM, should work together for the country to move forward
- He is even willing to support and join Mayor Duterte if he goes to Scarborough Shoal to plant the Philippine flag
MANILA, Philippines – Vice Presidential contender Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. said he has no problem working with whoever wins in the presidential race should he get elected as VP.
“Whoever will be elected as president, I will support in every way I can. Because that is what the people are asking for: that the government work together for the betterment of the country, to move the country forward,”said BBM.
In fact, he is even willing to join Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to the West Philippine Sea, in a jetski, and plant the Philippine flag in the airport China built in Kagitingan Reef.
It can be recalled that in the third presidential debate, Davao City mayor and presidential front runner Rodrigo Duterte said that if the Philippines win the arbitration case and Beijing still does not honor the arbitration court ruling, then he will ask the Philippine Navy to take him to the boundary of the Spratlys, ride a jetski from there, bring the Philippine flag and plant it on the reclaimed land. He said:
“Ngayon pag sinabi panalo tayo, ayaw ng China [Now if we win the case and China doesn’t honor it], I will not go to war. Sabi ng dalawang – the distinguished speakers, pupunta ako sa China [I will go to China].
“Ngayon pag ayaw nila [If they still doesn’t honor it], then I will ask the navy to bring me to the nearest boundary dyan sa Spratly – Scarborough. Bababa ako, sasakay ako ng jetski, dala-dala ko ‘yung flag ng Pilipino at pupunta ako doon sa airport nila tapos itanim ko [I will go down, ride a jet ski, carry the Philippine flag, go to their airport and plant it there].
“This is ours and do what you want with me.
“I would state that claim and if they want to, you know – eh matagal ko nang ambisyon ‘yan na maging hero rin ako [it’s been my dream to be a hero]. Pag pinatay nila ako doon, bahala na kayong umiyak dito sa Pilipinas [If they execute me there, you can cry for me here in the Philippines],” he ended.
