For $ 25 to $ 75 per session, a 31-year-old mother sold her daughters aged 7, 9, and 11 to foreign pedophiles she met through pornographic sites using Yahoo Messenger and Skype, Inquirer wrote.
Tipped off by the US-based National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), operatives of the Philippine National Police’s Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) arrested the woman in their home in Calabanga, Camarines Sur on Wednesday night, April 27, for allegedly pimping her young daughters in child pornography.
She was caught in the act of selling one of her daughters for cybersex. Recovered from their home were 2 laptops, 6 cellphones, a router, a canopy antenna, and receipts from client transactions.
PNP-ACG launched the investigation after receiving a report from NCMEC. According to police official, the woman was found to be using the account name ‘m.mercedez71’ in chatting with clients through Yahoo Messenger and chat rooms in ‘asiancamsex.com’ and ‘momsflirt29’.
According to The Manila Times, most of the clients were from the US, Europe, Australia, and parts of Asia.
Senior Supt Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, director of PNP-ACG, said the woman is facing charges with no recommended bail for violating R.A 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act, RA 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act and, RA 10364 or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Person Act.
“Her children were turned over to the custody of the Calabanga Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office,” Eleazar said.
He added, the husband, who denied knowledge of the wife’s illegal activities, will also be investigated.
