Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda shares a throwback video of his wedding proposal to his wife; catching thousands of hearts online as the post went viral on Sunday, May 15.
“Two years ago, nagpropose ako sa girlfriend ko [Two years ago, I proposed to my girlfriend],” Miranda captioned the video, which he posted on Facebook.
According to the text on the video, he told his partner, actress Neri Naig, that a friend asked her to star in a music video but he had something else planned.
While they were shooting, he brought the flowers which he used in the proposal.
“Music video so hindi siya magtataka kung bakit may camera crew, bakit may setup [Music video so she won’t be surprised when she sees the camera crew, the setup],” Miranda shared.
During the shoot, however, when Naig was walking towards a screen — which was supposed to be one of the props — a message appeared abruptly on the screen: “Ako na siguro ang pinakasuwerteng lalake sa buong Cavite [I guess, I am the luckiest guy in Cavite].”
Neri was apparently surprised upon reading the message.
Miranda then walked towards her, carrying the flowers; as their photos continue to flash on the screen.
She cried.
He hugged her tight, kissed her.
They ended up crying.
They continued to watch the presentation on the screen. Suddenly, a message, which was the continuation of the earlier text, appeared on the screen.
“Dahil mapapangasawa ko ‘yung pinakamagandang babae sa Eastwood…. Kung papayag siya [Because I will marry the most beautiful girl in Eastwood…. if she would agree]”
A lot of Facebook users were moved by the throwback video.
“Ngayon ko lang napanood ‘to and grabe, naging emosyonal ako bigla. Ang sarap ng feeling kapag nagmamahal. Hats down, sir Chito Miranda [This is the first time that I watched this video and I became emotional. It’s a wonderful feeling when you are in love. Hats down to you, Sir Chito Miranda],” wrote E. Ilagan.
“More Chito on Earth,” commented R. Rabi.
“Every girl’s dream,” described P. Castillo.
