Youtube sensation John Philip Bughaw, better known as Balang will join GMA Network’s latest afternoon teleserye “Magkaibang Mundo”, which will start on May 23.
This is the first time that he will appear on a TV series.
According to an article written by Noel Orsal for Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), Balang disclosed that he’s now able to save money and he has his own ATM card for his savings.
The seven-year-old performer became popular because of his dance videos on Youtube,which paved way for him to grace the stage of the award-winning daytime show of Ellen DeGeneres, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” three times.
When he was asked by the members of the media what did Ellen tell him when appeared on the show, he admitted that he didn’t understand what Ellen said but added that the TV host was very nice to him.
He shared that he will return to the US but not in “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”.
The first time he was invited to perform on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” was May last year.
With interpreter Danica Doma, Balang told Ellen he is excited to be in the United States of America because of the chocolates. He shared he loves chocolates but he is prone to a toothache so he always brushes his teeth after eating.
The bubbly child said he wants to be a Zumba instructor when he grows up. As for his dancing moves, he told Ellen whenever he watches television and hears music, he can’t stop himself from dancing.
Ellen and her studio audience were visibly impressed as Balang showed off his moves while also mouthing the lyrics of the song “Bang Bang”.
She exclaimed, “That was so entertaining! I could have watched that for another hour.“
As a reward for his performance, Ellen gave Balang lots of chocolate.
Last November, Balang appeared on the show for the second time and participated in a dance-off with the show’s DJ, tWitch. He was given a stationary bike as a gift.
The third time he was invited to the show was last February. Ellen noticed that he sported a different look than his previous appearances. Instead of dress shirts and suspenders, he wore a sleeveless animal print top.
Balang said his new look was inspired by pop sensation Justin Bieber.
Soon after the interview, he gave an energetic dance number to the tune of Justin’s “Sorry.”
