- Sharon Cuneta will join “The Voice Kids” as one of the coaches
- “Sobrang excited ako. I will be part of ‘The Voice Kids’” – Sharon Cuneta
- She will replace Sarah Geronimo who said she wants to concentrate on her growth as an artist
MANILA, Philippines – Megastar Sharon Cuneta couldn’t hide her excitement as she confirmed that she will be joining Bamboo and Lea Salonga on the third season of “The Voice Kids”.
ABS-CBN News quoted the veteran singer-actress as saying: “Sobrang excited ako. I will be part of ‘The Voice Kids’ with, of course, Bamboo and Lea Salonga.”
She also disclosed that she has a big surprise for her fans this year; that why she’s been inactive from social media.
She said: “To all my supporters and fans, my Sharonians whom I love very much, alam kong ang tagal kong nawala sa Facebook, ‘di ba? Sadya po ‘yon. I have been hibernating.
“I’ve been hiding because I have been working on myself para i-surprise kayo. Hindi pa ako tapos but I have lost a lot of weight, preparing for something really big.”
At the moment, she can’t disclose the details but she assured her fans that it’s a huge surprise so they just have to hold on and wait.
Cuneta will be replacing Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo who has announced last April that she wants to concentrate on her growth as an artist, but she is still open on the possibility of serving as a coach in future editions of “The Voice”.
Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) quoted her as saying: “Sobrang masaya naman talaga and fun ‘yung experience, especially doing it with the kids. ‘Yun talaga ang the best. Baka po next season, why not, kung gusto pa rin nila ako maging coach?”
[It’s really a fun experience especially doing it with the kids. It’s really the best. So let’s see next season if they still want me as a coach, why not.]
