A throwback video of Nadine Lustre as one of Sarah Geronimo’s backup singer while performing Wonder Girls’ Nobody is now being shared online.
In an article that was posted on ABS-CBN, it was disclosed that the one half of the popular love team JaDine was a member of Pop Girls, almost seven years ago, when the group did a number with singer Geronimo. Aside from Lustre, the other original members of Pop Girls include Rosalie Van Ginkel, twins Lailah Baustria and Mariam Baustria, and Shy Carlos.
On Instagram, Lustre’s mother shared a video clip showing her child as a backup singer in Geronimo’s performance during her “Record Breaker” concert in 2009. It is also being shared from You Tube.
Lustre is best known for her role as Eya Rodriguez in the film adaptation of Diary ng Panget and as Georgina Evangelista in the television remake of the Bagets film series.
The actress has been a performer/TV personality ever since. At the age of 9, she began her career as a TV host in RPN’s children oriented show entitled Storyland. She was also featured as a child host to Disney Channel Asia.
Coming back into the acting industry, Lustre played the role as Eya in Diary ng Panget, a Viva Films-produced movie of the best-selling novel of the same name which was written by HaveYouSeenThisGirL. The author was very particular about who played her characters and handpicked Lustre for the role of Eya.
Lustre starred together with James Reid, Yassi Pressman and Andre Paras. The film was released on April 2, 2014, and earned at least P 120 million during its four-week run.
