- A fatal dose of anxiety drugs, marijuana and booze has led to Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death
- She was 22 during her death and her passing has not been determined if it was accidental or intentional
- Bobbi’s death is a chilling echo of her mom Whitney Houston’s death
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office based in Atlanta has released a statement regarding the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown; the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown who was found dead in her bathtub.
Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive, immersed in a bathtub at her Rosswell home in Atlanta in January 2015. After months in a coma, she tragically died in July of 2015.
She was 22 during her death and her passing has not been determined whether it was accidental or intentional.
According to the medical report, a fatal dose of anxiety drugs, marijuana and booze has led to Bobbi Kristina’s drowning, which is a chilling echo of her mother’s death.
Whitney Houston was found dead at her home in Beverly Hills, California on February 11, 2012. The official report showed that she had accidentally drowned in the bathtub, with heart disease and cocaine use as contributing factors to her death.
Medical officials are now preparing to release the full post-mortem report of Bobbi Kristina’s death which says that ‘immersion in water and a drug intoxication did lead to her death and that the cause of death was Lobar pneumonia’.
Marijuana and alcohol were also found; along with medication used for sedation or to treat anxiety. However, the report further said it could not be determined from toxicology tests whether the morphine resulted from heroin use.
According to a report from The Mirror published on March 4, the statement released by the medical examiner’s office stated: “The underlying cause of death is the condition which starts the downhill course of events leading to death and in this case is the immersion associated with drug intoxication.”
To determine the aspiring singer’s cause of death, the office said it has gone over Bobbi Kristina’s medical records, investigative files and other related documents.
Bobbi’s famous parents, Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, were together in marriage for 15 years before they were divorced in 2007. She was their only child. She appeared with her parents on the TV reality show Being Bobby Brown in 2005 and attended award shows with them.
On Thursday, Judge Henry M. Newkirk responded to a motion filed by WXIA-TV’s parent company, TEGNA Media, in the Superior Court of Fulton County to unseal the autopsy report.
