An Australian fitness model continues to amaze thousands of her fans by staying fit and active despite being pregnant.
According to an article written by Laura House and published by the Daily Mail, Chontel Duncan, a fitness model from the Gold Coast, Queensland, is still working out every day, continues to do kickboxing classes, and follows the same healthy diet as she did before she was pregnant.
“I love being pregnant and. yes. I know I’ve had a great ride so far but just feeling Little D kicking and moving around,” Duncan said.
The Miss Universe Australia 2009 finalist has been sharing “pregnancy updates” with her more than 194,000 followers on her Instagram account. These updates include pictures and videos of herself doing her daily workouts. In several photos, Duncan showed her unbelievable muscular body and her pregnant belly.
In an article written by Alison Lynch for Metro.co.uk, Duncan spoke out about the pressure placed on expectant mothers to look or behave a certain way.
“People think I’m harming my baby and that I’m all about staying skinny and not nourishing my little D. I know it’s hard to believe that someone can carry a child the way I am, but in reality, a lot of women carry like me,” she said.
To prove that all women carry pregnancy differently, she shared in December, a picture of her and her friend who was four months pregnant.
“Each women carries differently and this most certainly doesn’t mean one is doing something wrong or not healthy etc. We both have healthy growing babies & we both have had incredible pregnancies so far, feeling amazing & full of energy,” she said.
According to the an article by Rachel Paula Abrahamson of US Magazine, Duncan and her husband, Sam, expect to welcome their first child on March 30.
