QUEZON CITY – Another social media star may have just been born.
A video of a singing crew member of Filipino fast food chain Jollibee recently went viral on social media after it was posted on Facebook by a certain Nathan Black.
The original video post has 771,214 views and 9,256 shares so far. The video shared by Filipino Dubs has 843,990 views and over 11,000 shares as of the present.
The clip shows a female Jollibee crew member singing Regine Velasquez’s version of the song “On the Wings of Love.”
This is just one of three videos of the girl singing covers of popular songs also posted by Nathan Black. In the other videos, the girl did a cover of Evanescence’s “Wake Me Up Inside” and Beyonce’s “If I Were a Boy.”
Social media users were evidently impressed with the girl’s singing ability. Several Facebook users commented how powerful her voice was even though she was sitting while singing.
The original poster and several other Facebook users revealed that the girl belongs to the fast food crew of Jollibee Lagro Branch in Quezon City, and that the video was taken in front of the fast food restaurant.
However, it is still not clear why the girl was singing outside the restaurant at that time.
Several Facebook users have noted that the girl was wearing her uniform indicating that she was on duty at that time. Others have theorized that she was singing as a promotional stunt for the fast food restaurant.
Regardless of the reason she was singing outside, one thing is clear to people on the internet – the girl can seriously sing, and may possibly become famous because of it. If only we know who she is.
Unfortunately, as of now, the identity of the singer is still unknown.
However, the poster Nathan Black said the girl will be singing again on Valentine’s Day, February 14, at the same Lagro branch of Jollibee.
So if you want to hear her sing again and get to know her, I guess you have to visit her there on Valentine’s Day.
