MANILA, Philippines – Queen of Pop Madonna has shared on Instagram her first picture during her latest visit to Manila for the Rebel Heart Tour 2-day concert at SM Mall of Asia (MOA) this week.
Madonna arrived in Manila on Monday around 1:58 am via a chartered Boeing 752 plane for her shows on February 24 and 25.
Surprisingly, the very first picture of the country she shared on social media showed her with some street kids from an orphanage in the capital.
She captioned the photo: “Chillin with my Homies at the Bahay Tuluyan Foundation. Inc. giving shelter to Orphans street children trafficking/abuse victims in Manilla [sic]?”
The picture quickly earned more than 27,000 likes in just over two hours from her followers on Instagram; mostly Filipino fans.
“You are such a beautiful person. Always giving. Especially to and for the children of the world. You have a warm heart and a good soul. It shows in everything you do. All the haters out there can speak their shit all they want, cause it won’t change who you are. You’re special. You’re a rare gift to us all. A gift that will always keep giving!” one fan wrote.
“Thank you for making a difference Madge. Welcome to my beautiful country. See ya tomorrow night,” said another.
Meanwhile, concert organizers Rebel Heart tour personnel said the audience will not be disappointed with Madonna’s performance and will get every cent of their money’s worth.
Madonna’s concert is considered to have the priciest tickets for any foreign act ever held in Manila.
Ticket prices range from as low P3,150 for General Admission to as high as P57,750 for SVIP.
A check with SM Ticketnet revealed that for Lower Box Side View (P29,400), Upper Box and Upper Box Side View (P8,400), General Admission and General Admission Side View (P3,150) were already sold out.
The remaining slots available are only for SVIP, Patron Vip and VIP Floor (P52,500), Patron (P42,000), Lower Box VIP (P33,600), Lower Box (P29,400), and Upper Box (P8,400).
