- The Filipino-American Bautista says he was offended with Pacquiao statements especially that his mother is a lesbian
- He says he still respects Pacquiao as a fighter though
Former wrestling world champion Dave “Batista” Bautista Jr. slammed Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao over his statements on gay couple in homosexual relations and called him an “idiot”.
The Filipino-American wrestler said he was offended by Pacquiao’s opinions referring to what the boxing icon said that gay couple were “worse than animals.” In an interview by TMZ, he said that the boxing icon is a “f****g idiot” and went on dropping expletives.
Bautista said he was offended with the “garbage” views of Pacquiao, especially that his mother is gay. “My mom happens to be a lesbian so I don’t f*****g take that s**t,” he said.
“I don’t think it’s funny. If anyone called my mother an animal, I’d stick my foot in his a**,” Bautista went on.
In 2009, Bautista escorted Pacquiao to the ring when he fought British boxer Ricky Hatton where Pacquiao won by second round knockout.
The Guardians of the Galaxy star said he still respects Pacquiao as a fighter but thinks differently with his opinions. He understands it was only his personal views but does not know how he comes up with horrible opinions. Bautista added it makes him respect Pacquiao a lot less, Marisse Panaligan of GMA wrote.
He was quoted saying, “But as far as his opinions, stick that up your a**.”
