Veteran star Coney Reyes proved once and for all that she is not just a brilliant actress but a sterling example of beauty as well after publishing a photo of her younger self on Instagram. She detailed through a hashtag that the sepia tone photograph was taken in 1975 during her stint as a host on “Student Canteen.” She also expressed her gratitude to a certain Lynn Rama for giving her the throwback picture.

Coney eventually left the noontime show after several years of hosting duties and transferred to what is now considered the longest-running variety show in the country, “Eat Bulaga.”

Her hosting stint on the show has opened a lot of opportunities for her in the showbiz industry. She was offered roles on various television programs and movies where she got to work with the esteemed Dolphy, Fernando Poe Jr., Vilma Santos, Lorna Tolentino, Maricel Soriano, Helen Vela, Aiza Seguerra, and Vic Sotto, among others.

The veteran actress has also produced her own show, “Coney Reyes on Camera,” and it was one of the most successful and top-rated programs from 1984-1998. It also won numerous awards such as the PMPC Star Awards for TV, the Catholic Mass Media Awards, and the CAMACOP.

In 1999, after her program went off the air, Coney once again appeared in a primetime capacity for ABS-CBN’s “Ang Munting Paraiso.” The show is notable for being the first time that Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa teamed up.
