Love is definitely in the air for the showbiz industry as a number of celebrity couples tied the knot this year. We saw Rochelle Pangilinan and Arthur Solinap, Pancho Magno and Max Collins, Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff, and Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho. We bet some of you already have a list of favorite 2017 wedding moments but why don’t we take a step back and appreciate the most unforgettable marriage proposals we have seen to date?

Wedding ceremonies are the result of well propositioned marriage proposals. Plus, it makes the woman feel so special if the man she loved took great pains in ensuring that she would have the best surprise of her life. So the local female celebrities included in this list might consider themselves really lucky because they get to have the best proposals in the country!

1. Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia

The couple that met on the “It’s Showtime” stage definitely has one of the most intimate engagements on the list. Did you know that it took months before Billy could pop the question because he wanted everything to be perfect? Even if he already had the ring? But when the time was right, he knelt down and asked for her hand in front of the people they love.

2. Anne Curtis-Smith and Erwan Heussaff

These two definitely oozed love in their wedding but when Erwan asked Anne to marry him, he took her to the woods in Connecticut, USA and showed her all the years they spent with one another in a beautiful video. Who wouldn’t want to reminisce the beautiful past when the future looks to be brighter and better?

3. Bianca Gonzalez and JC Intal

Bianca was on her way to Europe in 2014 for a trip. Waking up early in the morning to catch her flight, the host was surprised by her now-basketball superstar husband with red roses and a banner asking her to say “yes” to the big question.

4. John Prats and Isabel Oli

No one had longer hair than Isabel Oli back in 2014 when John arranged a massive flash mob proposal for her at Eastwood Mall. What was thought to be a simple dinner date with Camille Prats turned out to be the most shocking day of her life. John, along with 350 other people, danced their way into her heart.

The usually loud Iza Calzado was almost silenced when her boyfriend of five years, Ben Wintle, knelt down and asked for her hand in marriage. Speaking in complete Tagalog by the way, which was very impressive.

This amazingly good-looking couple took everyone to church! It was at a Sunday service that Jericho knelt down in front of the birthday girl to surprise her with the big question. The actor even said that he felt their marriage was meant to be when a lot of things almost stopped the proposal from happening on that very day.

8. Kaye Abad and Paul Jake Castillo

Paul Jake perfectly hid his agenda of asking Kaye to marry him during her 34th birthday. What was supposed to be an intimate dinner turned out to be a helipad party and when she saw him kneel down, Kaye couldn’t help but cry as she nodded her yes.

9. Maxene Magalona and Robbie Mananquil

Fashion-loving people, Maxene and Robbie’s trip to Tokyo was thought to be only a normal out-of-the-country adventure. But when they were posing for OOTD pictures inside the Tokyo Dome, well, Maxene was caught off guard when she saw Robbie kneeling down with a ring in his hand.
