K Brosas denies hiring ghost writer, Pokwang backs-up her statement

Earlier this year, comedienne K Brosas released her book, “K-Sabihan: Ang Alamat ng Teh at Iba Pang Kasagutan,” wherein witty jokes and her personal experiences in life are compiled. A glimpse of her past and how she remained happy and single are also included in the book. She said:

“A lot of millennials will find this read relatable. Those in unlabeled relationships, those whose feelings are unreciprocated—a lot of those examples, so I’m sure that a lot of the young ones will be affected.”

The comedienne also confessed that it has been her lifelong dream to become an author. K Brosas has a blog that only a few people are aware of. She then jested that her dream is to get on the level of famous writers, such as J.K. Rowling and E.L. James.

However, there are some people who are probably not convinced that K Brosas was the sole contributor of her book, claiming that she hired a “ghost writer” to finish it. The comedienne was then quick to speak up about this on her Twitter account.

“Katawa naman, bakit may iba na nagtatanong o assume na may ‘ghost writer’ ang gumawa ng libro? Anong sense non lalo na kung personal experiences ibang kuwento mo sa book? Hehe Uhm FYI lang po 2009 pa akomay blog na nilagay ko sa book ko. Yun lang po bow! Peace! Lablablab!”

This statement was backed-up by her friend and fellow comedienne Pokwang with the response:

“Hayaan mo na mga yan BFF!!! May ma uhog payan malayo pa sila sa karanasan at napagdaanan natin sa buhay!!! Dedma na!”

Pokwang published her own cookbook, titled “Patikim, Pokie,” this year as well. From this, K Brosas congratulated her “BFF” in another tweet. The recipes included in Pokwang’s book have “hugot” remarks on it, and won a national award. It is now slated to compete internationally. K Brosas then expressed how proud she is of Pokwang.
