KC Concepcion takes her dad’s advice to “hit the ground running”

KC Concepcion is in a giddy mood after finally picking up her undergraduate diploma, which she reveals has been sitting in her school’s vault for a decade now. In an emotional Instagram post featuring her in the streets of Paris, France, KC Concepcion looked back on how her journey has been after getting a fashion degree in the city of love.

KC looks back at one of the most inspiring pieces of advise she got post-graduation — one that she got from her ‘dad.’ She didn’t specify in her Instagram post whether she was referring to her biological father Gabby Concepcion, or her mother’s husband Kiko Pangilinan.

This is what she wrote:

“After graduation, my dad told me to “hit the ground running.” He meant to not laze around after earning your degree, but to get work ASAP! It was the best push ever- tho the last 10 years got so busy that I only got to pick up my undergrad diploma NOW! It was in the university vault all this time since 2007. Haha. It feels like graduation day… This deserves a nice raclette + wine dinner & some really good quality Parisian chocolate. (Maybe time to do my Masters?) #KCFromParistoPinas #BachelorsDegree #KacecapadesPARIS

As KC went for her Parisian celebration, netizens tried to uncover which ‘dad’ she was referring to in her post.

One netizen pointed out that KC Concepcion must have meant Kiko Pangilinan, she refers to him as ‘dad,’ while she calls Gabby Concepcion her ‘papa.’

Either way, it is inspiring how KC held such advice close to her heart and remembers it to this day. It only goes to show how thoughtful and grateful KC is for the people around her, especially family.
