A female netizen named Richelle Yambao Cudiamat's post detailing the events of a scam has gone viral. Cudiamat exposed a lady who, with the help of others, allegedly managed to trick her into giving away her belongings.
According to Cudiamat, she was contacted by a random stranger with the username “Samonte Nhics Andrea” on Facebook. Andrea supposedly offered Cudiamat a job or a “racket.”
Cudiamat agreed to speak with this random female’s boss in order to sort out the details. On the day of March 5 at around 11 AM, she was contacted by the aforementioned boss who informed her of her supposed duties.
Supposedly, a family checked into a casino required a “Pr” or someone to take care of guests during their vacation. Cudiamat would get paid PHP 7,000 plus a food allowance of PHP 500 for only 3 hrs of work.
Naturally, the single mother was interested in the deal because the money could help significantly with her expenses. She then made her way to SM City Dasmariñas where she met with a handler on the second floor in front of an H & M store.
Cudiamat met with the handler who then explained the extra details of her job – which she eagerly memorized. Afterwards, she was asked by the handler to give him all of her belongings as she needed to surrender them before starting her shift.
"Akin na yung mga isusurrender mo Maya bigay ko sa'yo after duty mo," the handler allegedly said.
Cudiamat admits that she didn’t know why she allowed the stranger to take her personal belongings but she did so without question. Then the handler asked to borrow her cellphone because his wasn't working correctly. She disabled her phone's password and then gave it to him.
Then she was told to take a tricycle to go to a place called “Majenta” to meet with a certain “Nicole.” By then she became a little suspicious and asked the handler if he was coming with her. The handler said he was staying at the mall to wait for another employee.
Sensing no problem, the single mother took a tricycle and went on her way.
Instead of a huge casino like she was told, Cudiamat was taken to a motel! Furious, she went back to the mall to confront the handler.
But he was already gone.
She went to the guards at the mall to ask for CCTV footage of the handler but they said that it would be a difficult task to accomplish.
Thankfully, the guards at SM Dasmariñas were able to help her in other ways such as paying for her commute and the use of their internet.
