Sandara Park remains true to her fans and to her showbiz roots in the Philippines. Touted as the country’s ‘Pambasang Krung-Krung,’ the Korean beauty has time and time again expressed her fondness for Philippine culture.
It didn't come as a surprise, therefore, when she defended the country against certain statements that were released in ‘Battle Trip,’ a South Korean variety show that acts as a trip competition.
The show features two teams traveling to different areas of the world to capture the participants’ unique experiences.
Each team is given a fixed allowance for the trip. The participants usually invite celebrities and in a certain episode, Sandara appeared to play.
According to Inquirer Bandera, she rebutted a statement that referred to the Philippines as a dangerous country to be in. She said (translated from Korean): “One of the reasons why I introduce the Philippines to Battle Trip is people always ask me about the Philippines, ‘Isn’t it dangerous? I hear public safety is poor? They always ask me that.”
“It’s just that unfortunate incidents are shown in the news, I wanted to show that, it’s not dangerous at all,” she continued.
Along with this, the actress showed the beautiful mountains and the greenery that can be found in the country, along with the clear waters in certain provinces with white-sand beaches.
Sandara also recorded herself sipping fresh buko juice and showing the Balicasag Island Dive Resort which is found in Bicol.
