This is what actor Robin Padilla had to say about his daughter Queenie Padilla and her husband Usman Rashid after the two got married in 2015 without his blessing.
In a series of instagram video posts on March 4, Robin expressed his heartfelt welcome to the newly-weds as the two started their life as a couple.
It is customary for Muslim couples to meet the family - especially the parents - of the bride before the wedding so that the groom can formally ask for her hand in marriage.
Despite not going through "pamamanhikan", the famous "Bad Boy" of Philippine Cinema threw a special party as the two finally met with him. The sweet gesture drove his daughter Queenie to tears.
Robin also shared the family's other touching moments with Rashid getting introduced to Queenie's other relatives.
Thankful for the positive reception, Queenie's husband promised that he will do everything he can to make his wife happy for the rest of her life.
