The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) region 2 information officer Welson Valdez confirmed that the P631 million, 825 linear meter Lucban Bridge has been completed and will allow motorists to cross over the Cagayan River.
This bridge serves the general public by providing guaranteed safe access to and from the regions of Cagayan Valley, Ilocos, and Cordilleras.
It has expanded shoulders, guard rails, a parapet wall, sign-age, pavement markings, and solar-powered pavement studs along the approaches to make sure commuters that will use will be as safe as possible.
The new structure looks much more modern compared to the derelict steel multi truss bridge running parallel to it. The new “Mega Bridge” is much more accommodating to taller vehicles as well as pedestrians.
