It's hard to be sure of our safety in the kind of society that we are living in today. Cases of kidnapping, rape, and murder send citizens cowering in fear as these heinous crimes seem to be spiraling out of control.
Another case of an attempted kidnapping alarmed many netizens as it dominated the social media community.
A young girl who was waiting for a taxi was luckily able to escape from her would-be kidnappers. She shared her experience on Facebook to warn people about the suspects who are still at large.
Estelle Oandasan, a college student from Colegio de San Juan de Letran, used her Facebook account to tell the story of how she managed to escape from her would-be abductors.
According to her post, she and her mother had to take her father to St. Luke’s Medical Hospital due to chest pains and difficulty in breathing. It was unfortunate that they left her mother and father’s mobile phones at home. This forced her to go back to their house as they needed to talk to their other relatives.
It also happened that she has a new phone with a new sim card. Unfortunately, she did not have their relatives’ contact numbers. Hence, she had no choice but to travel at 2:30 am back to their house to get what they needed.
She waited for a taxi outside the hospital. She noticed a brown Innova with plate number AAJ 7450 staying suspiciously near her. She thought that it was just an uber or grab driver waiting for its passenger.
10 minutes later, the vehicle approached her and the driver lowered the window. He told Estelle that he wanted to ask her something. Estelle did not hesitate to let him ask but to her surprise, he flashed his privates instead!
Another man sitting in the back seat then went outside and grabbed her arms. She used all of her might to escape from his grip and when she did, she immediately ran away. She was able to take photos of the vehicle as she rushed her way to the nearest security guard in her place.
According to her, the driver immediately drove away when he saw her taking pictures of the car.
Estelle accompanied her Facebook narration with two pictures of the vehicle. She also asked the public to be vigilant in case this particular car passed by them.
