The powerhouse couple has built a new house that is conveniently located near the airport, with just a travel time of around 10 minutes.
Settling into Forbes Park was a mutual decision for the couple, since they have to travel outside of Manila just so they could serve their office.
According to PEP, Richard is the Mayor of Ormoc, while Lucy is a representative of the fourth district of Leyte. In their former house in Greenhills, it would take the couple a minimum of 45 minutes just to get to the airport.
Richard was quoted in YES! magazine saying, "Dumating iyong time na grabe na ang traffic. One hour is not enough. And nothing is certain na you'd be there. So laging nate-tension 'yong bahay namin."
Now, Richard reveals that in Forbes, they could just go to the airport within 10 minutes. He also cited that it is near Makati, where they could "just go out" if they're hungry.
The couple had commissioned the help of architect Jay de Ramos and contractor Anolito Guina for the one-year renovation.
According to Lucy, most of the items inside the house have a story, as they were given as gifts from loved ones, or were bought by the couple when they were still single.
They also opted for an open-floor plan, as Richard claimed that "I don't like mga house na maraming partitions," according to his YES! interview.

Architect Jay stated that the house's main feature are the soundproofed windows courtesy of the German brand Pella. "It's very nice because 'yong heat at saka 'yong noise, nababawasan talaga."
He said that the home's design is coastal and modern with a touch of femininity because Lucy still wants it "bongga."
Lucy was quoted to be saying that "I want people to be able to sit anywhere they want." A second living area can also be found on the ground floor.
Richard, meanwhile, said that his favorite part of the house is the kitchen since he loves to cook. Lucy said that the all-white motif makes it easier for her to spot the germs.
The kitchen comes with a gas range, range hood, oven, and a six-seater bar, while the hallway is filled with artworks by young artists.
It also has shelves which hold small art pieces, books, and the actor's awards. The way leads towards Juliana's room, the couple's daughter.
Meanwhile, the master bedroom is painted all-white, where a painting by Geraldine Javier is placed just above the bed.

The bedroom also features a separate toilet and shower areas.
They also have one room where they claimed it their workstation. It also contains Lucy's collections of all things new and old.
Juliana's bedroom follows the house color, which is white, but a green couch is added to give it a dash of color. A painted portrait of the couple's daughter is also found, gifted by Richard to her when she turned 15.
The couple also built a five-meter swimming pool in their Forbes house since their daughter loves to swim.
Meanwhile, the wooden tables and benches found in their lanai were all bought from an old restaurant. It was the same table they had in Greenhills.
Don't you wish you have a house as splendid and as marvelous as the Gomezes?
