Actor Keempee de Leon is still in shock after noontime show Eat Bulaga pulled him out from the how after almost one year. He revealed this sentiment about it in the press conference of GMA’s new primetime series, Meant To Be, last January 3.
Quoted from PEP, Kempee said “Kung tatanungin niyo ako kung ano ang naging dahilan kung bakit hanggang ngayon ay wala pa ako sa Eat Bulaga, kahit ako, hindi ko alam ang dahlian.”
He stated “Ilang beses ko na silang tinanong, but I don’t get straight answers. Kaya ang feeling ko, iniwan ako sa ere. Yung parang, ‘Ano ang nangyari?”
Kempee claimed that when he took a leave from Eat Bulaga last November 2015 because of a teleserye in the said network, he had a difficult time reporting to the noontime show on a daily basis.
The taping of “Little Nanay,” the serye he was on, had a taping of 3 times per week and it would take them from early morning or the crack of dawn to wrap it up.
Kempee said, “Nagpaalam naman ako nang maayos sa kanila. Nagpaalam ako kay Tita Malou, kaya walang issue doon.” Tita Malou is Malou Choa-Fagar, the TAPE SVP and COO.
“It was like one week na lang before matapos and Little Nanay, pumunta ako sa studio ng Eat Bulaga para sabihin na puwede na akong mag-Bulaga ulit,” the actor stated.
“They said na they will bring it up sa meeting at tatanungin ang headwriter kung ano and puwedeng gain. Sasabihan na lang daw ako kung kailan na ako puwedeng pumasok.”
But a week had passed, Little Nanay had finished its airing, and still, Kempee didn’t received any text from them. A month passed, after which he started having doubts.
Tita Malou relayed to him that “As for the boss, hindi na.” This made Kempee shocked and speechless. He talked to his dad, Joey de Leon, about the issue but the latter couldn’t give an answer to his son.
This made him extremely depressed because Kempee was part of the noontime show for thirteen years. “Bata pa lang, dinadala na ako ni Daddy sa studio,” he was quoted.
“It’s all a mystery to me up to now,” he lamented.
