Vocal supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte, blogger Mocha Uson, lashed out again at Vice President Leni Robredo on Thursday night, asking about the VP's wherabouts at times of crisis.
"Where are you?" Uson asked, referring to the VP during the Metro Manila Film Festival Award's red carpet.
"Nung mga nakaraan, konting bagay, presscon. Pero ngayon, malaki sakuna yung nangyari sa inyong hometown at hindi man kayo ma-reach. Sa Twitter na lang po kayo tumutulong. Sana po magpa-phone patch naman kayo nang marinig namin ang inyong boses."
Uson fired against Robredo's absence during Bicol's tough times after being hit by Typhoon Nina in the past week.
Up to 950,000 people were affected by the typhoon leaving 3 people dead, one during the sinking of MV Starlite Atlantic and two from Quezon, according to the information released by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
As for the approximate value of damages, statistics show a total of P681.2 Million in both the agriculture and infrastructures.
The vice president was spending tye holidays in the United States together with her family when the typhoon struck.
However, in the VP's defense, OVP spokesperson Georgina Hernandez-Yang said that despite being in the US, the VP stays in touch and directs relief orders for the distribution of up to 1,005 packages in Naga's affected areas.
"Robredo directed the OVP's preparations even before the typhoon struck," she shared.
Furthermore, she also added that Robredo's trip with her family was already set last year. Also, she is planning to head back to the country as soon as she can catch a flight. The Vice President will be heading straight to Bicol by January.
