Visualizing the beauty that the Philippines during the time of our grandparents requires a whole lot of imagination. Still, the pride they have for their time of youth is unparalleled by no generation. They see it as a time of peace, progress, and serenity.

This is why many people expressed admiration for this collection of art which surfaced on the Internet just recently, as it showed rare images of how the Philippines looked like in high definition color.
Photographs of men and women, churches, the old metropolis, and much more can be seen in these pictures. It is indeed a feast for the eyes.

These pictures were all during 1950s and were taken by Marc Riboud, a French photographer who left his job as a research engineer to pursue his passion for imagery.
Riboud visited many parts of the Philippines during his stay here in 1958 and captured many timeless photos.

There is also this cool advertisement of Coca-Cola that is 10 minutes long which showcases how the Philippines looked like back in those times.
The ad shows how people lived their lives during those times.
