Actor Robin Padilla already asked the help of ABS–CBN Corp. Executive Linggit Tan to get a US Visa for him to be with his wife Mariel Rodriguez who is pregnant and about to give birth to their first child this month.
Mariel Rodriguez, an American citizen flew first to the US and hoping that her husband will be able to be there with her as she gives birth.
Padilla posted on his Instagram account Tan’s letter for a meeting with the consul general. It is for the reconsideration of his application for the visa of the actor.
Tan made clear that Padilla is hoping that his tourist visa will have a special approval from the consul general for him to be beside his wife.
Back in 1994, Padilla was imprisoned because of possession of firearms. This made Padilla have a hard time to get a visa.
Tan said that the consul general can affirm that Padilla is “good nature and kind hearted through the years.” Tan also attached Padilla’s contract with ABS–CBN until December 2017 to further strengthen Padilla’s appeal.
To prove that the actor has to return to the Philippines, Tan added that he will be in a new show that will be aired in January 2017.
“This is to prove, on his behalf, that if given the chance to visit his family and assure the safety condition of Ms. Padilla and their child, he will come back and return to the Philippines to perform his obligation with our company, as we are having a television show featuring Mr. Padilla, this coming January 2017. I have also attached herewith, the summary of his travels outside the Philippines,” Tan said.
